Want a "free" iPod?
Written by Administrator
Friday, 04 March 2005
ImageOf course you want one... the question is "what is the catch?". The answer is: there is a catch, but it is not as bad as you might think.

First a quick background on me. I have been gainfully employed in the IT industry  as a computer programmer for over ten years. As such, I have seen part of the pre-bubble, the bubble, and the subsequent bubble burst. In that time I have seen gimmicks ranging from getting cash for sending emails to work at home and make millions. That said, when I first saw the "free iPod" adverts I was skeptical and I had avoided them for well over a year now. Then last month I saw a news story on the local fox channel (WTVT 13) by the consumer lawyer, Eric Seidel.

(UPDATE: Wired Mag article on the free iPods Site.)

Written by Administrator

Image 1. Sue more 12 year olds - they have got plenty of money.
2. Lose 240 pounds - revoke the Simpson sisters recording contracts
3. Sign as many acts that sound like Creed - people just can't get enough of that stuff.
4. Ignore the internet as a viable marketing and distrubution model - Best Buy needs the money.
5. 3 words: "Don Johnson Comeback"

We need your vote!
What's in it for you, you ask? Well, your vote will give us more exposure. More exposure for us means more exposure for local bands.
And... Ummm.... Well, that's it. Heck, it only takes a couple of seconds of your time and your mouse and keyboard get lonely when you aren't using them anyway.
